Started his career with the Indian discrete semiconductor company Continental Device India Ltd (CDIL) in 1988 after finishing his engineering degree from BITS, Pilani through the campus.
His doctoral thesis is the area of Strategic Management and specifically on “ How Alliances are driving Product/IP creation in Indian High Technology Companies”.
One reason to move on from NXP is because he believes that in the technology space in India, especially in software, alliances are driving a lot of IP creation. |

| ARVIND JAYABAL , Head, Mobile Practice, Wipro Technologies |

Arvind comes with 15 years experience in semiconductor, telecom and technology based embedded system services. Arvind was an integral part of the team that setup Wipro's Product Engineering Business in Japan and incubated it in the initial years. He was instrumental in driving several of Wipro's key partnerships including the ARM ATAP deal which won Wipro a leading position in the System on Chip design services market. Later Arvind moved to USA to establish Wipro's nascent Intellectual Property licensing business in USA.
Arvind set up Wipro in several businesses including new geographies like Japan and new business areas like IP licensing. He returned to India in 2006 and hastransformed one of Wipro's large Telecom accounts into a strategic relationship. Arvind proposed and successfully implemented several innovative business models to grow Wipro's business in wireless telecommunications during the last couple of years. Arvind currently heads Wipro's Mobile Devices practice and manages Wipro's design services business from the Mobile Handset manufacturers globally.
He has an engineering degree from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore. |

Venkatesh started his research career at India's premier research institute TIFR, Bombay,then moved to the Computer Science department of IIT Bombay where he spent 8 years teaching and researching topics in the areas of temporal logic, functional/logic programming, and applications of logic and languages to VLSI design, which resulted in about 50 papers in international conferences and journals in these areas.
He made his transition to the industry when Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd was being formed in 1990, and moved full time to Sasken as Technology head in 1995. He has played various managerial roles at Sasken and is currently a board member and their Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.
Venkatesh also participates in teaching and research at IIM Bangalore, where his interests revolve around applying game theory to strategic thinking in the technology industry, specifically in IT outsourcing and in the telecom and semiconductor industries. He is an active public speaker in these areas and has published several papers on these topics in international conferences and journals.
Venkatesh is a graduate in Electronics from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Madras, a Ph.D in Computer Science from TIFR, Bombay, and is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineers.

Praveen K Ganapathy drives business and technical strategy for consumer, automotive and emerging business areas such as medical electronics. Prior to this role, Praveen was General Manager, Embedded Software and incubated various software groups within TI India including DSP Emerging End Equipments, Wireless/OMAP, Automotive & DLP (Digital Light Processing).
Praveen was elected to TI’s technical ladder in 1996 for his contributions in the area of imaging and was the technical lead for the product that won the EDN Innovation of the Year Award for the year 2000. Praveen holds over 6 US patents & has over 4 international publications in the area of imaging to his credit.
Praveen has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from BITS Pilani. |
